Cancellation & Refund Policy

1Payment and Registration

The relevant payment page will specify whether the amount payable is a pre-registration fee, an instalment or the full programme fee.

Where expressly stated, the pre-registration fee will be adjusted against the total programme fee. Any remaining fees and payment deadlines will be communicated before final enrolment.

Registration is confirmed after successful payment verification and completion of the required enrolment formalities.

2No Refund for Participant Withdrawal

All payments, including pre-registration fees, instalments and full programme fees, are non-refundable if a participant chooses to withdraw, cancel, back out or discontinue for any personal reason.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• A change of mind or loss of interest.
• Academic commitments, examinations or workload.
• Personal, family, medical or financial circumstances.
• Scheduling conflicts or inability to attend.
• Non-attendance or failure to complete programme requirements.
• Choosing another course, institution or opportunity.

This condition applies even if the participant has not attended a session or accessed the learning materials. There is no change-of-mind cancellation window.

3Inability to Provide a Batch

If UrbanScholar is unable to provide the enrolled batch, we will inform the participant and may offer an alternative batch or schedule.

If a suitable alternative cannot be provided, a refund may be considered for the undelivered programme or service, subject to applicable law.

A participant’s inability to attend an available batch does not, by itself, mean UrbanScholar has failed to provide the batch.

4Duplicate, Incorrect or Unconfirmed Payments

Verified duplicate payments or amounts collected incorrectly will be corrected, including a refund where appropriate. These corrections are separate from refunds for participant withdrawal.

If money has been debited but registration is not confirmed, contact us with the payment reference before making another payment. Confirmation will depend on transaction verification.

5Batch or Programme Transfers

Requests to change a batch or programme are subject to availability and written approval from UrbanScholar. Transfers are not guaranteed.

Any applicable fee difference will be communicated before the transfer is confirmed. A transfer request does not create an entitlement to a refund.

6Requesting a Payment Review

For batch non-delivery, duplicate payments or other payment discrepancies, email support@joinurbanscholar.com with:

• Registered name, email address and phone number.
• Programme name.
• Payment amount and date.
• Transaction or payment ID.
• Reason for the request and relevant supporting documents.

Do not share banking passwords, UPI PINs or payment OTPs.

7Review and Refund Processing

We aim to acknowledge requests within 2 business days and communicate a decision within 7 business days of receiving all necessary information.

Where a refund is approved or required by law, we aim to initiate it within 5 business days of approval, normally through the original payment method. The time taken for the credit to appear depends on the payment gateway and the participant’s bank.

8Digital Services and Returns

UrbanScholar provides training, programme services and digital learning access. Physical product returns are therefore not applicable.

9Programme Outcomes

Payment does not itself guarantee employment, placement, college credit or a stipend. Any such benefit must be expressly specified in the applicable programme terms, including its eligibility conditions.

10Applicable Rights and Policy Updates

This policy does not exclude refunds or other remedies required under applicable law, including for deficient or undelivered services.

The policy presented at the time of payment will govern that transaction. Later updates will not retrospectively reduce a participant’s existing rights.
